Job summary

Huron–Clinton Metroparks in Michigan seeks a GIS Analyst to serve as the lead geospatial expert, overseeing GIS administration, data governance, and program standards across the Metroparks. This role manages, analyzes, and maps spatial and tabular data using the ESRI platform to support organizational reporting and decision-making.

The position administers ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro, develops tools to streamline workflows, and leads mobile GIS and geospatial analysis efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, IT or related technical field.
• 8+ years of GIS experience preferred, with ESRI ArcGIS platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS operations, governance, and standards across the organization.
• Manage spatial and tabular data across local, SQL Server, and cloud environments.
• Administer ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro, manage licenses, and support web GIS.
• Produce annual GIS reports, cartography, analytics, and SQL queries.
• Develop workflows for field data capture and mobile GIS operations.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Natural Resources, and IT teams.
