Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to determine and recommend maintenance scopes for large generators, ensuring reliability and safety, and optimizing outage planning. You will lead TMS meetings, develop detailed outage scope recommendations, review technical proposals, and mentor Engineers in Training and Field Service Engineers.

Travel ~20% and Orlando-based role preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; 5+ years in Field Service or Service Engineering focusing on Generators.
• Strong background in generator and auxiliaries operations, maintenance, and outage overhaul requirements.
• Experience with product lifecycle management systems to review configuration records, drawings, and BOMs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement the Total Maintenance Service (TMS) program for assigned Large Generator units.
• Develop customer-specific detailed outage scope recommendations based on unit history and available products.
• Lead TMS meetings and provide technical feedback for customer negotiations.
• Resolve customer issues using operating experience and engineering analysis.
• Review Siemens Energy technical recommendations for compatibility with customer needs.
• Maintain and update TMS metrics and support data population in product catalogs.
• Update unit configuration records per TMS actions and meetings.
