Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. in Tempe, AZ seeks a General Superintendent with proven cast-in-place segmental bridge experience to lead field execution on complex bridge projects.

You will oversee concrete placement, post-tensioning, formwork, and geometry control while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on DOT/AASHTO projects. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in heavy civil construction with segmental bridge experience.
• Strong understanding of balanced cantilever construction, travelers, post-tensioning systems.
• Experience leading crews and ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for cast-in-place segmental bridge construction.
• Execute work plans for segmental sequencing, stressing operations, and geometry control.
• Coordinate with engineering, survey, and project management to maintain alignment, camber, and tolerances.
• Oversee installation of post-tensioning systems, rebar, embeds, and formwork for segmental construction.
• Manage concrete placement operations, including cycle times, curing, and quality control for segment pours.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and governing standards (e.g., DOT, AASHTO).
• Drive safety, productivity, and quality through proactive field leadership and planning.
