Lead General Liability Claims Specialist

Role Details

• Jurisdictions: Any
• Licenses: TX, FL, NY, HI, RI and reciprocals (willingness to acquire all licenses within a set timeframe)
• Location: Fully remote

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze claims exposure independently and recommend settlement strategies.
• Create legal documents such as reservation of rights and coverage denial letters; negotiate and resolve settlements.
• Interact with involved parties and recommend outside specialist advice when necessary.
• Handle claims according to policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Document and communicate claim activities effectively.
• Mentor and supervise lower-level adjusters.

Candidate Profile

• Experience with general liability and litigation claims over $250K.
• Jurisdictional experience: Any
• Active adjuster licenses in TX, FL, NY, HI, RI (or willingness to obtain)

Qualifications

• High school diploma; 7+ years of claims experience handling complex issues.
• Licensed in relevant states.
• Knowledge of industry standards and software.

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10+ years of claims adjusting experience.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory environment.
