Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, AI Platform, to lead Parametric's GenAI initiatives. You will guide a team of engineers, translate business needs into robust AI platform solutions, and ensure scalable, compliant GenAI workloads across production environments.

You will apply deep ML/NLP knowledge, manage cloud deployments on AWS, and drive development standards, interfacing with business units to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ML, or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on OO design and development.
• 3+ years of Python software design and development.
• 3+ years of leading software teams and mentoring.
• Strong communication to bridge business and tech.
• Experience translating business problems into AI solutions.
• Experience with ML lifecycle: framing, data, evaluation, deployment.
• Proficiency with LLM APIs and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AWS deployments.
• Experience with Docker, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience with RAG, vector stores, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of observability and benchmarking GenAI systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead GenAI development projects from requirements to deployment.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards.
• Collaborate with business users to scope solutions and communicate trade-offs.
• Design and maintain platform-level GenAI components and APIs.
• Oversee AI evaluation, testing, and continuous improvement.
• Support end-to-end AI lifecycle including data assessment and rollout.
