Bessemer Trust in Port Reading, NJ is seeking a GenAI Engineering Lead to design and build agentic systems for our AI platform on AWS, while guiding the technical direction and patterns the team follows.

You will lead a team of developers, stay hands-on in code, evaluate new frameworks, run experiments, and partner with business stakeholders to translate problems into robust agent designs deployed safely.

Formación

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years leading a small team and hands-on coding.
• Strong Python and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, observability).
• Production experience with LLM-powered systems and agent workflows.
• Depth in embeddings, vector search, and data modeling for retrieval.
• Hands-on with agent frameworks (LangGraph, Strands, Bedrock AgentCore) and AWS.
• Experience defining evaluation methods for non-deterministic systems.
• Research mindset to evaluate emerging models quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build agentic systems end to end and stay hands-on in the codebase.
• Lead a team of developers, review designs and code, and mentor engineers.
• Own the agent framework stack and the research behind it, prototyping what looks promising.
• Design the context layer including knowledge graphs and vector stores.
• Design and own the caching layer to optimize latency and cost.
• Ensure quality and safety with eval harnesses, observability, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and deploy securely; document patterns for others.
