Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Electronic Development Engineer for Starlink gateways in the US. You will own the design, performance, and reliability of next‑generation gateway electronics, overseeing a product from concept through production in a cross-disciplinary setting.

The role requires deep experience in high-speed mixed-signal hardware, FPGA/CPLD work, and Linux environments, with a track record of delivering reliable hardware in a fast-paced, mission-critical program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or physics.
• 3+ years in hardware design/development or electronics test engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-5 engineers to design, develop, and test reliable gateway electronics.
• Drive electrical architecture, specification, circuit board design and bring-up.
• Optimize designs to improve reliability and reduce defects.
• Create automated design validation assets to speed cycles.
• Develop and train direct reports for product ownership and decisions.
• Collaborate with antenna, software, mechanical, networking, thermal teams.
