Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking a Senior Engine Controls Engineer to develop, implement, and validate advanced control algorithms for gasoline engines. You will produce production-ready software meeting performance, emissions, and regulatory requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will translate requirements into AUTOSAR SWCs, define CAN/OBD interfaces, and validate with MIL/HIL/vehicle-level tests while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with controls/calibration experience on gasoline SI engines.
  • 5+ years in engine development, emissions development, and related technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and control principles.
  • Experience in data acquisition and processing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance engine control algorithms for gasoline powertrain systems using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Translate system requirements into AUTOSAR Software Components (SWCs).
  • Define interfaces including CAN (DBC), OBD (PIDs/DIDs), and ECU communication.
  • Design AUTOSAR-compliant interfaces and arxml files; integrate software.
