Job summary

Beehive Industries, LLC in Colorado seeks an experienced engineer to design, develop, tune and test gas turbine engine control systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional leadership to deliver engine control architectures, schematics, and requirements for propulsion and power products while interfacing with suppliers and end users.

The role emphasizes control software/hardware integration, test program leadership, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
At least 8+ years of experience in gas turbine engine control systems
Strong understanding of engine control software tools (i.e., NPSS, Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, etc.)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizens is required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of an aviation engine control system and its hardware
Develop control system architectures, engine controller schematics, and requirements
Lead software and hardware-in-the-loop simulator design, commissioning and integration testing
Coordinate cross-functional reviews with performance, operability, transient, mechanical and aero engineers
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated along engineering best practices
