Job summary

Beehive Industries seeks a Lead Engineer, Controls Software to design, develop, and validate gas turbine engine control software and hardware. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize propulsion systems and support engine testing and qualification activities.

The role requires 5+ years in controls/embedded software, proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering or embedded software for aerospace propulsion.
• Experience developing, testing, or validating control system software and models.
• Strong understanding of control systems theory and dynamic modeling.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and real-time control concepts.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate engine control software, control logic, and simulation models for gas turbine engine applications.
• Develop software requirements, functional models, control architectures, and engineering documentation.
• Perform control system analysis, including dynamic modeling and stability analysis.
• Lead verification/validation using simulation tools and engine/test data.
• Support development and integration of EEC/FADEC systems; lead HIL/SIL simulations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize engine performance and test planning.
