Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking an experienced engineer to design, analyze, tune and test gas turbine engine control systems. The role partners with cross-functional teams to develop architectures, schematics and requirements for propulsion and power products.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in gas turbine engine controls, strong software tools skills (NPSS, Matlab, Simulink, C/C++), and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• At least 8+ years of experience in gas turbine engine control systems
• Strong understanding of engine control software tools (NPSS, Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
• Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work in fast-paced cross-functional teams
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of aviation engine control system software and hardware
• Develop control laws, architectures, schematics and equipment requirements
• Lead software/hardware in the loop simulator design, commissioning and integration testing
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize engine control systems
• Lead design reviews with performance, operability, transient, mechanical and aero engineers
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data
