Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Developer, Gas Generation to lead the development of natural gas generation projects for large commercial and industrial customers. You will coordinate with engineering, commercial, finance, legal, and construction teams to bring projects from concept through construction handoff, delivering reliable energy solutions.

Ideal candidates have experience developing at least 500MW of gas generation, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong project management, scheduling,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing at least 500MW of natural gas generation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Knowledge of permitting, interconnection, fuel supply, and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas generation project development from site identification through construction support.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Data Center Development, Renewable Generation Development, and other teams.
• Evaluate feasibility with siting, fuel, interconnection, infrastructure, and permitting strategies.
• Manage schedules, budgets, forecasts, and development risk registers.
• Coordinate pipeline identification, utility engagement, and fuel supply strategy.
• Work with engineers, regulators, landowners, and contractors to advance milestones.
• Support discretionary permitting, public meetings, and environmental diligence.
• Lead project handoffs to Construction after milestones are achieved.
