Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Developer, Gas Generation to lead the development of natural gas generation projects for large commercial and industrial customers. You will collaborate across engineering, development, finance, legal, construction, and commercial teams to move projects from concept through construction in integrated Powered Land Solutions.

You'll manage site identification, feasibility studies, fuel supply, interconnection, permitting, budgets, schedules, and risk registers, while

Qualifications

• Experience developing gas generation projects (>=500MW preferred).
• Knowledge of permitting, interconnection, and fuel supply.
• Ability to collaborate across technical, commercial, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas generation project development from site identification through construction support.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Data Center Development, and other internal teams to develop integrated Powered Land Solutions.
• Evaluate feasibility: siting, fuel supply, interconnection, infrastructure, permitting strategies.
• Manage schedules, budgets, forecasts, financial models, and development risk registers.
• Coordinate pipeline identification, utility engagement, and fuel supply strategy; support negotiations.
• Work with stakeholders to advance milestones; support discretionary permitting and environmental diligence.
• Lead project handoffs to Construction after milestones; represent AES professionally.
