Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Developer, Gas Generation to lead the development of natural gas generation projects for large commercial and industrial customers, including data centers, under AES Renewables & Power. You will drive site identification, permitting, interconnection, and pipeline strategies while coordinating with internal teams to deliver Powered Land Solutions.

Ideal candidates bring experience in at least 500MW of gas generation development, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of project development, permitting, utility coordination, interconnection, pipeline infrastructure, and contracting.
• Experience with fuel supply strategies, utilities, pipeline operators, or integrated energy infrastructure.
• Familiarity with gas generation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas generation project development from site identification through construction support.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Data Center Development, Renewable Generation Development, and other teams to develop integrated Powered Land Solutions.
• Evaluate project feasibility by coordinating siting, fuel supply, interconnection, infrastructure, and permitting strategies.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, financial models, and development risk registers.
• Coordinate pipeline identification, utility engagement, and fuel supply strategy while supporting commercial negotiations.
• Represent AES professionally and build relationships with customers, regulators, and communities.
