Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Garde Manger Supervisor for the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. You will supervise garde manger staff, plan menus, and ensure high-quality cold presentations for buffets and events.

Requirements include 2-3 years of culinary experience in hospitality, strong knife skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years culinary experience in hotel, resort or cruise ship.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises garde manger activities and coordinates prep for appetizers, salads, and cold presentations.
• Plans production and maintains records for the garde manger department.
• Develops and implements recipes; plans menus and manages leftovers and surpluses.
• Estimates food consumption and requisitions items and supplies.
• Trains and supervises kitchen staff to meet quality standards on schedule.
• Ensures health and safety standards are followed.
