Ashley Furniture Industries in California is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead a team of repair technicians, oversee daily shop operations, and ensure repairs, customer claims, and warranty work meet safety and quality standards.

You will plan work priorities, monitor productivity, and coach staff while coordinating with internal partners to optimize processes and inventory. Strong leadership and furniture repair expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in furniture repair or technical service.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction, repair techniques and finishing methods.
• Leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate technicians.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
• Proficiency with shop management software including Product Quality and High Jump.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, PPE and safe work practices.
• Associate's degree in related field preferred.
• 5+ years furniture repair/technical service in retail or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of repair technicians and supervise daily shop operations.
• Plan and schedule work assignments, balance workloads, monitor productivity.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to staff.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and manage tools, parts, and inventory.
• Coordinate repair priorities with internal partners and document customer claims.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support process optimization.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise to improve repair quality and customer satisfaction.
