Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking an Outside Service Technician to repair case goods, leather, and upholstery. You will perform minor repairs on products damaged in homes, ensuring a world-class customer experience and upholding Ashley’s growth values.

Responsibilities include handling entry-level repairs with potential for higher-skill tasks, maintaining tools and workspace safety, collaborating with warehouse staff, and reporting repair outcomes to ensure continued quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Repairs with little guidance on all product types.
• Completes all repair types of entry level with additional skills requirements.
• Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.
• Performs solid color paper/side refinishes.
• Performs small corner damages that requires rebuild.
• Has general understanding of spray booth set up and use.
• Communicates any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean.
• Helps to inspect damaged product and conveys if it can be repaired to like new conditions.
• Works with warehouse personnel on techniques of minor touch up on products during the inspection process.
• Documents and follows through on reocurring product damages.
• Assists other technicians.
• Accurately reports situations that occur when repairs can not be completed.
• Must be able to assess damages to determine the most efficient way to repair them.
• Identifies damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
• Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
• Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
• Maintains proper safety usage of all products that are used within the department.
