Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking an Outside Service Technician to repair case goods, leather and upholstery furniture in customers’ homes. The role requires hands-on repair skills and a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to assess damages and determine efficient repair approaches.

You will collaborate with warehouse staff on touch-ups, document recurring damages, and ensure safe, clean work areas while upholding Ashley’s standards of quality and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Repairs with little guidance on all product types.
• Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.
• Documents and follows through on recurring product damages.

Responsibilities

• Repairs with little guidance on all product types.
• Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.
• Performs solid color paper/side refinishes.
• Performs small corner damages that requires rebuild.
• Has general understanding of spray booth set up and use.
• Communicates any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean.
• Helps to inspect damaged product and conveys if it can be repaired to like new conditions.
• Works with warehouse personnel on techniques of minor touch up on products during the inspection process.
• Documents and follows through on reocurring product damages.
• Assists other technicians.
