Job summary

Stand Together in Arlington, VA seeks a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across a large WordPress and Drupal web ecosystem. You will stay hands-on while owning architecture, deployment pipelines, security, and cross-team collaboration with Product and stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards with the SDET team, and drive a multi-workstream strategy to optimize a portfolio of sites.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of professional software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience remaining hands-on while leading teams across web ecosystems.
• Strong architectural and systems-thinking skills across WordPress/Drupal portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across the web ecosystem, including hosting, integrations, and long-term platform direction.
• Stay hands-on, building, reviewing, and debugging alongside the engineers you lead.
• Own deployment, CI/CD, and automation, including plugin and dependency updates.
• Lead technical discovery, estimation, and communicate context to Product.
• Mentor and develop engineers and reduce key-person dependencies.
• Develop 12–24 month strategy for WordPress/Drupal portfolio consolidation or migration.
