Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Team Lead - Full Stack Developer to spearhead custom WordPress themes and plugins while maintaining strong backend coding. You will translate designs into live, interactive experiences and advise clients alongside the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience leading code reviews.
• Advisor to clients for projects that meet bottom line.
• Experience scoping complex custom WordPress or ecommerce builds.
• Expert level skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Expert on backend development with PHP.
• Experience working and managing MySQL databases.
• Experience building custom WordPress themes/plugins.
• Complete understanding of WordPress core at code level.
• Hands on experience with SASS/SCSS/LESS and Flexbox.
• Build responsive websites that function on any device or browser.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket.
• Ability to execute ADA and SEO best practices.
• Proactively perform cross-browser compatibility tests.
• Adept at developing custom WP themes from Figma design files.
• Collaborate with UX/UI Designers and Backend Developers.
• Optimize application for speed and scalability.
• Communicate positively and reliably.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Projects are all custom; no use of existing WP templates.

Responsibilities
