Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing production back-end systems.
• Strong full-stack capability with back-end focus and APIs knowledge.
• Experience designing, developing, and hardening APIs and services.
• Proven track record moving prototypes into production with reliability requirements.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and storage for complex apps.
• Experience scheduling, scaling, or managing compute-intensive workloads.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles and meet eligibility for sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and own reliable Python services and APIs for a computational engineering product.
• Move prototypes and internal tools into production with testing and reliability.
• Design durable API contracts and service boundaries for cross-team use.
• Develop data models and storage approaches for complex technical data.
• Structure, schedule, and scale compute-heavy workloads for simulations.
• Collaborate across the stack to connect backend with front-end workflows.
• Create automated service and integration tests to increase release confidence.
