Job summary

Jobot Consulting in West Columbia, SC, seeks a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to be a hands-on technical leader on a modern app development team. You will own end-to-end delivery and contribute to modernization of ~40 existing applications while designing new AI-enabled solutions on Azure.

The ideal candidate brings deep React, Python, SQL, and Azure experience, plus the ability to evaluate architectures, mentor others, and drive secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, including senior/lead hands-on development.
• Strong experience with React, Python, SQL, and modern web application development.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to make architecture and technology decisions.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production applications using React/React Native frontend, Python backend, SQL/Azure SQL, and Azure hosting.
• Remain hands-on with development and deliver production-quality code and complex technical solutions.
• Own solutions end-to-end from requirements to deployment and support.
• Develop new applications and capabilities aligned with evolving business needs.
• Write clean, scalable, secure, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving performance, reliability, integrations, security, and scalability.
• Lead modernization efforts across ~40 legacy applications.
• Define tech stacks, architectures, and hosting models; migrate legacy tech to cloud-native solutions.
• Lead migrations from legacy technologies (e.g., ColdFusion) to modern Azure-based solutions.
• Design AI-enabled applications and capabilities; utilize Claude tools in workflows.
• Promote engineering standards, CI/CD, and secure development practices.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on; mentor developers.
