Jobot in West Columbia, SC seeks a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer for 100% on-site work, driving modernization across roughly 40 applications with React, Python, SQL, and Azure. You will directly own end-to-end delivery, architecture decisions, and hands-on development, including AI-enabled workflows using Claude Code/Claude CI.

You will mentor peers, lead design reviews, and push modern cloud-native patterns in a public-sector context, ensuring robust delivery and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, including recent senior/lead-level hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production applications using React/React Native, Python, SQL/Azure SQL, and Microsoft Azure.
• Own solutions end-to-end: from requirements through implementation, deployment, and support.
• Lead modernization of ~40 legacy and existing applications, recommending refactor, re-platform, rebuild, consolidate, or retire paths.
• Lead architecture and technical design for new builds and modernization using Azure services (Container Apps, App Service, Azure SQL, Entra ID).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep where appropriate.
• Contribute to AI-enabled applications and proof-of-concept work with Claude Code and Claude CI.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through design reviews, pairing, and code reviews while remaining hands-on.
