Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) IT is seeking an IT Analyst in Pullman, WA to design, secure, and support enterprise systems. You will identify IT risks, monitor performance, and create concise documentation.

A strong automation mindset and collaboration with engineering teams are essential for success. You will contribute to CI/CD, IaC, and container orchestration while mentoring interns and adapting to fast-paced changes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a technical environment.
• Knowledge of IT methods, practices, procedures, and policies.
• Desire for life-long learning to maintain a comprehensive understanding of evolving technologies.
• Experience teaching and mentoring IT interns and associates.
• Adapts well to rapid change in dynamic environments.
• Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Maintains confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Excellent customer service commitment.
• Strong automation mindset to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms.

• Monitor, improve, troubleshoot and plan capacity for systems.
• Support and troubleshoot complex user requests.

• Collaborate to automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management.
