Job summary

Beacon AI in the United States seeks a Lead Frontend Engineer to provide technical leadership for our flight safety platform. You will own the frontend strategy, design high-impact web interfaces, and collaborate with backend, product, and UX teams to deliver real-time aviation data insights.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience building high-performance, user-facing web applications.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web standards.
• Experience with asynchronous frontend patterns and live/historical data streams.
• Proven ownership of complex features from concept through delivery with autonomy.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Uphold high technical bar through design decisions, code quality, mentorship.
• Ability to optimize frontend performance for scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement React-based features and frontend systems handling large-scale, real-time and historical aviation data.
• Integrate, process, and visualize data from live streams and archives.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices through code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Partner with backend engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to inform design and implementation decisions.
• Ensure reliable frontend systems through automated testing and clear documentation.
• Build reusable components and internal libraries to accelerate future development.
