Beacon AI in San Carlos, CA seeks a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines powering a flight safety platform.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and product partners to deliver robust backend features, contribute to production systems, and ensure reliability, performance, and security in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems.
• Experience designing or consuming APIs.
• Familiarity with databases and data stores.
• Exposure to production environments, reliability and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs for web and mobile apps.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to build reliable, scalable backend systems.
• Integrate with real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Work with product managers to deliver backend features supporting user-facing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and follow backend best practices.
