Job summary

Evolent is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide the front-end design and delivery of the Evolent Platform. You will shape the React/Next.js architecture, establish standards, and mentor a team of FE engineers across concept, development, and production deployment.

You will collaborate with product, UX, clinical stakeholders, and backend teams to ensure fast, accessible, and auditable agent-to-human handoffs, while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
• 2+ years leading teams of 3+ software engineers.
• Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of the front-end experience for the Evolent Platform.
• Define React and Next.js architecture and standards, including caching and accessibility.
• Collaborate with product, UX, clinical stakeholders, and engineers to prioritize work and deliver on schedule.
• Oversee full front-end lifecycle from concept to production and maintenance.
• Ensure WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and Section 508 conformance; implement security and audit controls.
