Price Rite in Hamden, CT is seeking a Front End Manager to oversee cash handling, payroll, and front-end service. You will coordinate store events and supervise cashiers, bookkeepers, and front-end staff to deliver top-tier customer service.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent experience, with strong computer and reporting skills. You will contribute to budgeting, scheduling, and daily operations while supporting community-focused programs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Directly supervises cashiers, bookkeepers, front-end supervisors.
• Associate Degree (A.A.) from two-year College or university; five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills a must.
• Background in store operations and work scheduling required.
• Ability to read and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence; present information to groups of managers and customers.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Performance of essential job functions includes supervising staff and managing front-end operations.
• Maintains security of all store systems and ensures proper maintenance of equipment.
• Reviews and performs corrective action on transaction journals, cash control, refunds, promotions, and customer service standards.
• Maintains shrink initiatives and ensures compliance with procedures.
• Achieves department productivity and payroll goals; submits reports to management.
• Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and development of all department personnel.
• Manage others and adhere to HR policies and state and federal laws.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing superior service and clear signage about events.
