Sprouts Farmers Market in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead a busy department and help customers make healthy choices with outstanding service.

You will support the Produce Manager with ordering, training, and supervising the Produce team, ensuring freshness, quality, and safety standards in a fast-paced store environment. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing friendly behavior and a positive attitude with customers.
• Have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety, health and regulatory guidelines and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver pallets as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, display, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products and top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training and developing the Produce team.
• Unload store deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
