Job summary

HACLA is seeking a Supervising Fraud Investigator to oversee the entire investigative unit, supervise Fraud Investigators and clerical staff, and assist the Department Head in planning and directing activities. The role involves supervising investigations, training personnel, and presenting evidence for administrative actions.

The incumbent ensures compliance with housing fraud laws, maintains current knowledge through training, and may drive to different sites to gather evidence.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with seven years of professional investigative or law enforcement experience.
• Three years must be in lead or supervisory capacity.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and review the work of Fraud Investigators and staff.
• Oversee investigations for compliance with laws and HACLA rules.
• Monitor case progress and provide guidance to investigators.
• Oversee field investigations and interviews to gather evidence.
• Train staff and review reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze information and prepare reports; may testify in court.
