Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) seeks a Supervising Fraud Investigator to lead the investigative unit, directing fraud investigations and supervising staff across investigators, senior investigators, and clerical support. The role partners with the Department Head to plan, organize, and review investigations and to ensure timely, accurate results for administrative actions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized college or university.
• Minimum of seven (7) years professional level investigative or law enforcement experience.
• Three (3) years must be in lead or supervisory capacity.
• Desired: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of Fraud Investigators and support staff.
• Oversees investigations to ensure compliance with laws and agency rules.
• Monitors case progress and provides guidance to investigators.
• May oversee field investigations and interviews to obtain information.
• Develops training and conducts in-service fraud prevention sessions.
