Job summary

Plastipak in Jackson Center, OH is seeking a Lead Forklift Operator to set the example for safe and efficient material handling. You will supervise forklift activities between the warehouse and production areas, coordinating assignments and ensuring quality and productivity on each shift.

This night-shift role runs 5:00 pm to 5:10 am on a rotating two-week schedule with every other weekend off. You will train new hires, mentor team members, and develop leadership skills for future promotional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ≥3 years forklift and warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems for data entry, transactions, documents; SAP a plus.
• RF scanner proficiency.
• Experience training others; leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead forklift operations and set the example for safe, efficient transport of materials between warehouse and production.
• Coordinate Forklift Operator / Material Handler assignments to uphold safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for new hires and experienced team members.
• Develop leadership skills and position yourself for future promotional opportunities.
