Job summary

ArborWorks, LLC, based in the United States, is seeking a General Foreperson for Utility Vegetation Management in Pennsylvania. This senior leadership role directs multiple vegetation management crews to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient contract execution.

You will liaise between field crews, utility customers, and internal teams to maintain production, safety, and quality. Required are strong leadership, field operations experience in vegetation management, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Foreperson or equivalent leadership role in utility vegetation management or related field operations.
• Minimum 12 months hands-on experience in utility line clearance, vegetation management, or arboricultural operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills in a field-based environment.
• Solid understanding of utility vegetation management operations and safety requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License with ability to meet company driving requirements.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (required within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, and accountability for multiple Forepersons and their assigned crews.
• Set clear expectations related to safety, quality, productivity, and conduct; hold Forepersons accountable for performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Forepersons and crew members to support skill development and succession planning.
• Promote a consistent, professional field leadership presence aligned with ArborWorks values.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily vegetation management operations to ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and time.
• Monitor job progress, adjust resources as needed, and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required production, timekeeping, and job documentation.
• Lead and reinforce ArborWorks’ safety culture across all assigned crews.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements with Operations.
• Support workforce planning by identifying staffing needs, training gaps, and readiness concerns.
• Provide input and recommendations regarding promotions, reassignments, and additional training based on field performance.
• Serve as a primary field contact for utility customers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
