Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Food Service Manager II at the Denton State Supported Living Center. You will supervise large-scale food preparation and dining operations, enforce sanitation and safety standards, and lead a team to deliver reliable meals for residents.

The role requires two years in food service with supervisory duties, a high school diploma or GED, and HACCP certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in food service, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Graduation from high school or GED required; continuing education preferred.
• Must be willing to obtain HACCP Certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food preparation and serving operations.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and compliance with regulations.
• train and mentor kitchen staff; oversee dining room setup and service.
• Monitor portion sizes, inventory, and food quality during shifts.
