The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing menus while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and service.
• Prepare and instruct staff to follow planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure all food is stored properly and in sanitary conditions.
• Serve meals according to schedules and department policies.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare and portion food.
• Follow food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Train other food service workers.
