Job summary

MiLa is seeking a Production Superintendent in Sumner, WA to lead day-to-day production operations, supervise the shift Supervisors and sanitation team, and ensure staffing, training, and adherence to GMP and food-safety requirements. The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on safety, efficiency, and on-time production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of food or production manufacturing experience, including experience leading supervisors or production teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, staffing, and employee performance.
• Working knowledge of GMP and food-safety requirements.
• Associate's degree or equivalent, preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and production or scheduling systems.
• Experience leading or overseeing sanitation programs.
• Production and warehouse operations experience.
• Experience with SQF or BRC certification programs and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Supervisors; uphold performance standards.
• Oversee sanitation team and ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees and supervisors.
• Maintain employee qualifications and ensure training.
• Address performance and attendance issues promptly.
• Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain production and employee schedules.
• Coordinate coverage for absences and changing production needs.
• Own daily execution of the production schedule and stay on the floor.
• Coordinate production, warehouse, and sanitation activities as one operation.
• Ensure priorities are understood and production requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues.
