Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing supervisory role.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards, Excel, Word, Teams, Email, Internet and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to meet targets and quality standards.
• Plan and prioritize production schedules to optimize resources and minimize downtime.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team; cross-train employees.
• Manage production goals including waste, labor, throughput; maintain equipment.
• Ensure timely start of lines, efficient changeovers; monitor labor cost.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and warehousing for safe flow.
• Enforce OSHA safety rules and safe working environment.
• Provide performance feedback and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and increase productivity.
• Ensure GMP, SQF, and FDA compliance.
• Participate in recruiting for department needs.
• Provide daily recaps and corrective action recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
