Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. in Vernon, CA, seeks a Plant Manager to lead a high-volume snack food manufacturing plant, overseeing safety, quality, service, cost, people, and culture.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement, coordinate across production, maintenance, quality, and planning, and deliver the production plan while fostering a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in CPG or food production.
• Experience leading a plant or large production operation.
• Proven safety management with OSHA compliance.
• Experience with GMP, HACCP and food quality systems.
• Experience managing budgets and cost performance; strong financial understanding.
• Lean, 5S, Six Sigma or similar plus continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with SAP or JD Edwards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely production.
• Uphold safety culture and compliance with OSHA, FDA, GMP, HACCP.
• Deliver production plan while improving OEE, labor efficiency, yield, and waste.
• Lead quality adherence and root-cause analysis.
• Develop and coach supervisors and frontline staff; succession planning.
• Manage plant budget and cost performance; drive cost-effective operations.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, 5S, and kaizen events.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, engineering, and distribution.
