Job summary

The Boeing Company in Oklahoma City is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Flight Test Engineer to design and operate data systems for flight and ground tests, ensuring safety, performance and regulatory certification across Boeing Mobility, Surveillance, and Bomber portfolios.

You will plan tests, manage configuration, collect and analyze data, and collaborate with diverse teams to advance next-generation aerospace capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• BS degree in engineering, engineering technology (including Manufacturing Technology), CS, data science, math, physics, chemistry or equivalent directly related to the work statement.
• Experience in flight test, laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, and/or simulation.
• Experience with transducer and sensor physics with the ability to select hardware and systems measurements.
• Experience with data acquisition system attributes (range, accuracy, frequency responses, bandwidth) to define characteristics of measurements.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design and the ability to decipher engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Designs test hardware, software, and systems to achieve test requirements
• Develops and maintains data system architecture
• Supports fabrication, configuration, build, installation, and checkout of data system
• Operates data system on aircraft ground tests and flight tests
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and configure data systems
• Supports aircraft refurbishment and data system de-mod
• Collaborates across a broad spectrum of individuals and disciplines
