Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Evacuation Systems Engineer to lead cross-functional teams through development, qualification, and production of aircraft evacuation slide systems. The role focuses on collaboration with customers and suppliers, managing scope and budgets, and ensuring successful program delivery.

You will drive plans, coordinate testing, and support production implementation while contributing to design cost targets and compliance with RTX lifecycle

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft O365 software suite.

Responsibilities

• Leads cross-functional teams for small to moderate sized projects associated with the development, qualification, and production of aircraft evacuation slide systems.
• Supports Project Management in project scoping, resource forecasting, bid and proposal submission, and execution of projects in accordance with the RTX Lifecycle Program Management system within the approved budget and schedule constraints.
• Regularly leads meetings with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate cross-functional team activities.
• Generates development and qualification plans/reports and coordinates test unit builds and testing.
• Performs financial analysis of design components to achieve design to cost targets.
• Prepares design documentation, obtains required internal and external approvals, and supports production implementation.
