Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) seeks a senior avionics engineer to integrate cockpit systems and lead requirements development for flight deck equipment. You will collaborate with suppliers, perform trade studies, and ensure compliance with DO-178/DO-254 standards in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires active US Secret or higher clearance, strong systems engineering background, and experience with COTS/MIL-COTS hardware. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM or related field with relevant experience.
• Active US government clearance at Secret level or higher.
• Experience with design, development, and integration of flight deck equipment.
• Proven experience with requirements management tools (Cameo/DOORS/Rhapsody).
• Ability to obtain SAP clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate cockpit systems including FMC, PFDs, CDUs with avionics.
• Perform requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation.
• Document designs with schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Support verification of avionics installations and certification documents.
• Develop system safety documents.
• Manage program partners and suppliers including SOWs and test support.
• Test and troubleshoot lab avionics hardware.
