Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Sr. Principal Flight Avionics Responsible Engineer to lead avionics integration for flight deck systems with PNT focus. The role is on-site with a 9/80 schedule and no remote work.

Requires a STEM degree and 6–8+ years of related engineering experience, Top Secret clearance, and experience with MIL-STD-1553/ARINC 429/Ethernet and supplier management. Primary salary range shown below.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and Ethernet protocols.
• Experience integrating and testing flight deck systems including PNT equipment.
• Experience with supplier management of avionics equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics integration engineering for aircraft flight deck systems.
• Coordinate testing of avionics subsystems in lab and troubleshoot hardware.
• Support certification documents and flight test activities.
• Develop system safety documents and manage PNT integrations.
