Job summary

Transdev in Optima, OK is seeking an experienced Lead Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including pickup trucks and class 8 trucks. You will lead and train other technicians to ensure safety and efficiency for our customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (CDL preferred), ASE preferred, and extensive mechanical aptitude with 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred).
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred).
• State inspection license (if required).
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Extensive mechanical aptitude and 5 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience.
• Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance (bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries; fluid levels).
• Perform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision (brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions).
• Maintain records of all maintenance work and parts; ensure accurate work orders and parts orders.
• Conduct preventative and safety inspections at prescribed intervals.
• Lead and train other technicians in the work group; assist with road calls as needed.
• Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures.
