Job summary

City of Branson seeks a Master Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain the City’s vehicles and equipment, ensuring engines, electronics, and hydraulics operate safely and reliably.

You will lead repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and uphold accurate records while complying with DOT requirements. Expect 12‑hour snow routes in winter and standard daytime hours with some after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling gasoline/diesel engines and automotive systems.
• Certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigerant Recovery and Air Brakes within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair City vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Overhaul and service a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment using advanced tools.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Use parts and materials cost-effectively to support fleet operations.
