Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Fleet Mechanics.
• Perform and oversee repairs on fleet equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct pre-inspections for equipment readiness.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs complying with DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Fleet Mechanics to ensure high performance and continuous growth
• Perform and oversee repairs on our fleet, primarily end-dump trailers, tractors, and yard equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues using modern troubleshooting and diagnostic tools
• Accurately complete and manage work orders in a timely manner
• Perform fabrication and metal work as needed to support repairs
• Conduct pre-inspections to ensure equipment readiness and compliance
• Partner closely with the Transportation team to meet operational equipment needs
• Execute and promote preventive maintenance programs aligned with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair and maintenance
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and software
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain) is an asset
• Proven ability to lead by example, with strong problem‑solving and communication skills
