Job summary

City of Pflugerville is seeking a skilled Fleet Shop Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the City’s fleet shop under the Fleet and Facilities Manager. You will supervise staff, schedule work, train employees, and ensure compliance with City policies and state/federal regulations.

The role requires a High School diploma, 5 years of related experience, 3 years of supervisory experience, a valid Class C Texas driver license, State Vehicle Inspection Certification, and ASE

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years of experience in progressively responsible related positions.
• Three years of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to assigned personnel; schedule and review work; train employees.
• Oversee fabrication of special tools and equipment; maintain vehicle and equipment status; manage inspections and inventory.
• Conduct required state vehicle inspections on City vehicles.
• Oversee routine maintenance and repair on City vehicles; manage warranty/recall input.
• Assist other departments as required; stay reachable for emergencies.
