The Lead Cabin Cleaning Agent provides day‑to‑day direction, guidance, and support to Cabin Cleaning Agents to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operation. This role serves as a working leader, performing all standard Cabin Cleaning Agent duties while coaching team members and modeling exceptional performance.
This role is responsible for coordinating and balancing resources, coaching employees, and ensuring operational tasks are completed in compliance with customer instructions, safety standards, and plays a key role in supporting an on‑time, safety‑focused aircraft‑turn while fostering teamwork and upholding service excellence.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry baggage and cargo weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds or more. This often involves lifting items onto raised surfaces or into confined aircraft bins.
Movement: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and twisting for extended periods (up to 8‑hour shifts or more).
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in cramped or high places.
Manual dexterity required for handling documents and operating equipment.
Driving/Operating Equipment: Must be able to operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, which requires a valid driver’s license and the physical capability to do so safely.
Vision/Hearing: Clear vision (including depth perception and peripheral vision) and hearing are required for monitoring flight information, communication via radio/headsets, and safety compliance in a noisy environment.
Outdoor Exposure: The job is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Noise and Environment: The work environment is very noisy, near active aircraft engines and ground support machinery, and may involve exposure to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. Hearing protection is usually provided and required.

This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need. Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
