Job summary

McGee Air Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee ground handling operations and supervise McGee teammates. The role focuses on safety, engagement, and performance, with leadership responsibilities across functional areas such as Ramp, Fleet, and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a culture that encourages communication and engages team members
  • Dispatch, assign work, monitor ramp operations, fleet performance, and baggage transfer operations
  • Coaches, guides, and mentors team members to ensure safety and metrics are met
  • Prepare and present safety and operational briefings to McGee and customers
  • Partner with other supervisors to balance tasks and coverage
  • Act as liaison between McGee Air Services and customers
  • Lead investigations and collect information on operational and safety metrics
  • Ensure follow-ups, lessons learned, and corrective actions are documented and implemented
  • Observe operations to identify safety, training, and process improvements
  • Communicate performance reports to team and leadership and manage staffing information

Job Description

TheOperations Supervisoris a critical role in ensuring that McGee Air Services delivers best in class ground handling services. The operational supervisor is charged with monitoring the performance of the operation, supervising McGeeTeammates,and building an environment where safety, team member engagement and operational performance are paramount.

TheOperations Supervisoranticipates operational needs,makes required adjustments to respond tochallenges, and provides the teamand leadershipwith information to ensure a successful operation. This role collects operationaland safetyinformation and translates it into various briefings,in time report outs and formal reportingfor team members, leadership, and customers.As a leader within our operational team, we expecttheOperations Supervisor(s) to engage in honest two-way communication with our staff to promote a safe,well-runoperationand apromote apositive work environment for our teammates.

Operational Supervisors will be hired intospecificfunctional areas, such as Ramp, Fleet, Safetyetc. As such, thespecificsof the job will vary across the functional areas, butthebelowresponsibilities and qualification are required and expected for any Operational Supervisors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a culture that encourages communication, where all team members feel valued, connected, and engaged in the success of theoperation.
  • Dispatch,assign work, monitorrampoperations,fleetperformance,and baggagetransferoperations.
  • Coaches, guides,and mentors team members to ensure safety and operational metrics are met.
  • Prepare andpresent safetyand operationalbriefingsboth internally to McGee and externally to our customers.
  • Partnerwithother supervisors and leadershiptoensureeffectivebalancing of tasks andcoverage.
  • Act as liaison between McGee Air Services and customers.
  • RepresentsMcGee in briefings withcustomerManagersonDuty to plan for Irregular Operations, tows, extraflights,and other specialsituations.
  • Conductinvestigationsandcollectrequiredinformation onoperational/safetymetrics.

Assistsinsafetyincidentsas wellasensuringdocumented follow-ups, lessonedlearned, mitigationsand corrective action plans are documented, managed,and implemented.

Actively observes operation to identify areas of improvement in bothsafety,training,andoperations.

Prepare and communicate various performance reports to team members and leadership, including shift reports, performance data, missed metric summaries/investigations, mitigation plans, safety incidents, equipment status, and staffing information

Monitor staffing during start times and coordinate, support, and communicate re-balancing ofoperationalcrews.

Perform required audits, investigations,and participates in/leads any disciplinaryactions.

Evaluate individual andteamworkperformance,coach,and counselto support employee growth and operational performance, and document discussions and improvementplans.

Promote and maintain a culture of safetyand mutual respectat alltimes.

Responsible for ensuring that equipment is available, maintained, and operated in a safe manner, to include daily inspections and removal from servicewhen necessary

Foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture thatalways demonstrates McGee’s values.

Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of airline experience with proven skills in station operations, including one of the following areas: passenger service, cargo handling, fleet service, and ground operations preferred
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a faste-pacedenvironment
  • Ability to diffuse tense and/or stressful situations and workplace conflicts
  • Experience coaching and counseling team members on performance related issues preferred
  • Skilled in all aspects ofaircraftservicing, loading,baggageand cargo handling
  • Self-motivated individual able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Able to lead, motivate, and successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup
  • Proven ability to direct the work of others in a positive way
  • Ability to obtain andmaintainairport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drugscreenand fingerprinting
  • Ability tolift upto 75 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to push wheelchair with passenger who may weigh over 200 pounds
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S.
