Job summary
Körber Supply Chain LLC, headquartered in Irving, TX (USA), seeks a Firmware Engineering Lead to drive end‑to‑end machine control firmware development. You will guide cross‑functional teams of firmware, electrical, and mechanical engineers, shaping control algorithms and delivering reliable software across multiple mail-processing applications.
The role requires 5+ years of firmware experience, proven leadership, and experience bidding time and materials for firmware projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of firmware development experience creating algorithms, troubleshooting issues, and solving control-system problems.
- Experience leading a firmware team through projects.
- Experience bidding time and materials for firmware projects.
- Experience collaborating with EE hardware engineers to develop and implement control applications.
- Proficient in C/C++ and embedded toolchains.
Responsibilities
- Develop control algorithms for machine control alongside EE hardware engineers.
- Lead firmware engineers through all project phases.
- Assist bid and proposal teams with labor hours and material cost estimates.
- Verify firmware in live mail-processing environments with test engineers.
- Contribute to a high-performing, multi-site, multi-program team.
- Own all phases of firmware development for various applications.
- Collaborate in a team-based environment.
