Job summary

Kaloutas in New England is seeking an experienced Lead Fireproofing Applicator to lead a crew on commercial and industrial projects. You will apply spray-applied fireproofing materials, read plans, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role demands hands-on leadership, a minimum of 7 years of commercial fireproofing experience, and the ability to mentor others while coordinating with project managers and trades across New England.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on commercial fireproofing experience.
• Strong knowledge of spray-applied fireproofing materials, equipment, and methods.
• Previous crew leadership or foreman experience.
• Ability to produce high-quality work while meeting project schedules.
• Experience reading plans, specifications, and job-site requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to job-site safety and accountability.
• Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel to job sites throughout New England as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead fireproofing crews on commercial and industrial job sites.
• Apply spray-applied fire-resistive materials accurately and efficiently.
• Set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot fireproofing equipment.
• Read project plans, specifications, and product requirements.
• Plan daily work and communicate expectations to the crew.
• Monitor production, material usage, quality, and job progress.
• Ensure proper surface preparation, application thickness, and finished quality.
• Train and mentor less-experienced applicators.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete required job-site and safety documentation.
• Represent Kaloutas professionally with customers and project partners.
